ABOUT

A long-time writer, editor, and educator,  I have worked with clients in the US, Europe, and Asia, in person and remotely. I received my BA from Oberlin College and MA from Stanford University, where, as a teaching assistant, I taught undergraduate and graduate students. I have completed programs at Middlebury College and the Sorbonne, too, and am fluent in French and Japanese.

With years of experience and two recent college graduates myself, I understand the school application process from start to finish—and how stressful it is sometimes. Which is where I come in. Whether a client is highly organized or scattered, outgoing or terminally shy, confident or self-doubting, I meet them where they are with warmth, humor, and a large toolbox of techniques.

I grew up in New York City, have lived in the Midwest, New England, France, and Japan, and now call San Francisco home. Passionate about education and the enormous difference it can make in people’s lives, I have served as a board member of Yokohama International School and a community leader at the International School of Paris, along with additional roles at other private, public, and parochial schools.

I am delighted to work with clients near or far: in the Bay Area, across the country, or wherever else they may be.
