A long-time editor, educator, and writer, I have worked with high school, college, and graduate students, as well as adults, in the US, France and Japan. I received my BA from Oberlin College and MA from Stanford University, where I also worked as a departmental assistant teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. I have completed programs at Middlebury College and the Sorbonne, too, and am fluent in French and Japanese.

With two recent college graduates, I understand the entire college application process from start to finish—and how stressful it can sometimes be. Which is where I come in. Supportive, patient, and flexible, I love seeing my clients grow and have worked with all sorts, from the highly organized to the scattered, the outgoing to the terminally shy, the confident to the self-doubting.

I was born and grew up in New York City, have lived in the Midwest, New England, France, and Japan, and now call San Francisco home. Passionate about education and the enormous difference it can make in people’s lives, I have served as a board member of Yokohama International School and a community leader at the International School of Paris, along with additional roles at other private, public, and parochial schools.

I am delighted to work with clients near or far: in the Bay Area, across the country, or anywhere outside the United States.

Schools offering my clients admission include:
